Commanding Officer’s Recruiting Challenge

You can help 1 West Montreal Squadron rebuild as we come to the end of this unique and challenging training year and look forward to resuming in-person training in the coming months.

Do you have a friend who used to be in the squadron but has stopped attending over the past year? Do you have friends between 12-18 years of age who might like to join the squadron?

If yes, then Major Leslie has a deal for you: If you invite a former cadet to rejoin the squadron or recruit a new cadet to join us before March 31st, both of you will receive a 1 West T-Shirt plus a $10 gift certificate for Amazon, Google Play, or the store/platform of your choice, so long as the new/reactivated cadet stays with us until our Annual Ceremonial Review in May 2021. Once the new cadet is ready to join/rejoin, fill out the Commanding Officer’s Recruiting Challenge Registration Form so that we can keep track of the rewards.

Royal Montreal Regiment Army Run Team

The RMR is going to create a joint team with all of the affiliated cadet units to participate in the Army Run this September.

Anyone who confirms their interest by March 29th will get a free registration from the RMR.

There are 5km, 10km, 15km, 21.1km, and 26.1km options.

We hope that conditions will permit us to do the run as an in-person activity as a group in September. Otherwise, we will organize a virtual event together. Over the next few months, CI Amirola will lead us through virtual training programs adapted to the different distance options of the Army Run.

Please confirm your interest on our website by March 29th so that we can reserve your spots with the RMR by March 31st. Major Leslie has already committed to doing the 26.1km Commander’s Challenge Run and invites anyone who feels up to running this distance to do the same!!

If you signed up using the previous form you need to sign up again using this new form.

Commanding Officer’s Parade

On March 31st we will have our monthly CO’s Parade. After beginning the night with mini-flights our cadets will meet in the general channel for the parade.

Schedule:
18:45-19:00 Mini-flights in your mini-flight channel
19:00-20:05 CO’s Parade in the general channel

Dress:
Full uniform for cadets. If you don’t have a uniform wear a dress shirt and dress pants or a school uniform.
