Duke of Edinburgh Award

Interested in improving your leadership skills and becoming internationally recognized for participating in a diversity of activities? The Duke of Edinburgh Award welcomes youth aged 14+ to join and follow their passions in streams of

• skill development,

• volunteering,

• physical recreation and

• exploratory adventurous journeys.

The program is mostly self-paced and divided into three consecutive levels of bronze, silver, and gold based on increasing requirements. Through cadets, you can be guided through the Duke of Edinburgh Award program by CI Shah.

Ground School

The squadron’s weekly ground school training sessions will continue on Thursday, November 25th, from 19:00-21:00.

Regular Training Night

This Wednesday, November 24th, we will have regular training from 18:30-21:00. As usual, cadets must immediately proceed to their designated area upon arrival.

The dress for Level 1s is sports gear.

• Level 1s – Parade Square

• Level 2s – Officer’s Mess

• Level 3s – Classrooms

• Level 4s – Sgt/WO’s Mess

• Level 5s – CO’s Conference Room

Anyone entering the RMR must complete the COVID Self-assessment questionnaire prior to entering.

Important: Parents are not allowed to enter the RMR due to military COVID restrictions. Parents are encouraged to submit any questions that they have by email to 1westmontreal@gmail.com.
