Dear cadets, parents, and friends of 1 West,

We will hold survival training in the Eastern Townships on October 2nd and 3rd. As we are not permitted to hold overnight training at this time, Levels 1 (new cadets) and 5 will go on Saturday, and Levels 2, 3, 4, and 5 will go on Sunday.

Schedule for each day:

• 0700- meet at RMR

• 0730 - bus will depart RMR

• 0900-1800 - Survival Training Exercises

• 1800 - depart training site

• 1930- arrival at RMR (approximate return time 1930-2000 depending on traffic)

Please complete the sign-up form by Wednesday so that we can plan the bus reservations and equipment requests.

Weekly Training

This Wednesday, September 29th we will continue in-person training. Anyone entering the RMR must complete the COVID Self-assessment questionnaire prior to entering.

After validating attendance and COVID screening, cadets must proceed immediately to their designated training area:

• Level 1s – Parade Square

• Level 2s – Officer’s Mess

• Level 3s – Classrooms

• Level 4s – Sgt/WO Mess

• Level 5s – COs Conference Room

Dress is FTUs or proper civilian attire.

Important: Parents are not allowed to enter the RMR due to military COVID restrictions. Parents are encouraged to submit any questions that they have by email in advance and send ID document copies with their son/daughter.

RMR Charity Run

Thanks to your support we have now raised more than $5,000, great job 1 West runners! The fundraiser closes on September 30th so there is still time to support the squadron!

Supply

Our supply team is hard at work taking measurements and distributing new uniforms. We are still subject to delivery delays from the uniform suppliers. Please be patient, we will clear the backlog of uniform exchanges and new issues as quickly as we can.
